Brevard, Fla. - Founder of Autism Wings, Angela Walden spoke with us after her son finished competing in the 2021 AAU Primary and Club National Championships about Autism Wings. She created the charity organization in 2019 since she began to "notice the gaps in the services that were available to kids on the spectrum," as she was raising her son Regent Walden.

Regent Walden has been running since he was nine years old. He sees running as a mental sport and that when you are running it comes down to one decision, are you going to give up, or are you going to keep going? Regent ran in the 17-18 Years Old Men's 400m and finished 42nd during the Club National Championships. Although he said his goal for this event was "to get to at least 49, but it's a PR so I'm proud."
