AAU Wrestling came to the Orange County Convention Center for the 2022 AAU Scholastic Duals for the 24th year
2022 AAU Scholastic Duals
Dates: June 16-22, 2022
Location: Orange County Convention Center West Concourse, Orlando, Florida

ORLANDO, Fla. (July 8, 2022) – Wrestlers from every region of the country traveled to the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, Florida for the 2022 AAU Scholastic Duals. Around 3,000 competitors took to the mat during the week.
For the 24th year, AAU Wrestling hosted the event at the Convention Center. Teams were split into five divisions: All-star, Developmental, Community 1 & 2, and Girls. With 20 states represented, the widespread event brought the best of the best to the mat and allowed them to battle it out for an AAU National Championship.
This six-day event is one of the final events before the AAU Junior Olympic Games in Greensboro, North Carolina. A few teams will be heading into those games with the momentum of a title win.
The boys started things off. MAWA Blue out of Pennsylvania walked away with top spot in the All-Star Gold division. In the Developmental group, Brawlers Elite from Pennsylvania defeated Indiana Smackdown Gold in the 1st Place Match to secure the title. In the Gold division of Community 1, Brownsburg, out of Indiana, took down Braves Wrestling Club in the 1st Place Match for the championship and in Community 2 Gold, Somerset Academy took down the Rootstown Raiders to capture gold.
On the girls’ side, Charlie’s Angels Pink out of Georgia pinned the St. Louis Green team to the mat to win the top spot in the Gold division. In the Girls’ Silver division, Charlie’s Angels Illinois Black was able to wrestle the 1st place prize away from SOWA in the championship match.
