Warner University becomes the third collegiate partner of the program

LAKE WALES, Fla. (March 23, 2023) – AAU Track and Field is proud to announce that Warner University has become the third collegiate partner of the Motivate & Educate Internship Program, joining our other partners of Jackson State University and Texas Southern University.

The Motivate & Educate (ME) Program seeks to implement programs that motivate athletes in athletics as well as academics. The program will serve to educate students about the fundamentals in the various disciplines of track and field and to develop and enhance life skills.

“We are happy that Warner University and Coach Hassaan Stamps share our goal of wanting to provide educational opportunities for student-athletes that will prepare them for the real-world,” said Charles “Coach O” Oliver, AAU Second Vice President and Track and Field National Chair.

AAU Track and Field will work with Warner University Athletics to develop student outreach about the program as well as recruit potential candidates. Warner University is a private Christian university located in Lake Wales, Florida. The university is committed to helping students write their own stories as well as prepare them for the next chapter in their life.

“As the Director of Track and Field at Warner University, I am super excited to partner with the AAU Track and Field Motivate and Educate Program,” said Hassaan Stamps, Warner University Director of Cross Country and Track and Field. “I’m an AAU baby and my time running with Quicksilver Track and Field Club in Atlanta, Georgia provided me with so many life-shaping experiences that I’m not sure I would be the man I am today without them. Running AAU track provided me the opportunity to compete, meet new people, travel to different parts of the country and experience different perspectives of life that I would not have done if I was not in AAU Track and Field.”

Helping youth is nothing new to Coach Stamps. Due to the influence AAU has had on his life, he created the National Scholarship Invitational – the only meet in the country where high school athletes can compete for the sole purpose of earning an athletic scholarship.

Currently, the ME program has internship opportunities available in Marketing and Event Operations. To apply, visit https://bit.ly/23AAUTrackMEProgram.
